Manchester Enterprise Academy Sixth Form
MEA Sixth Form offers access to the world of work and study delivered through close links with the Academy sponsors and partners including Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, Manchester City Council and Manchester United amongst others. Also on offer is a mentoring programme for sixth form students where they are paired with mentors from local businesses. Alongside the varied curriculum the Academy also provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, community involvement skills and other valuable life skills.
Manchester Health Academy Sixth Form
MHA Sixth Form offers a range of learning pathways, good and outstanding teaching and welcoming, friendly staff. Our 1-2-1 tutor support, advice and guidance on higher education, apprenticeships and the world of work have led to an excellent record of achievement, with 78% of our Year 13 students successfully gaining University places and the rest of the students moving into full time apprenticeships or continued work-based learning. Development of students’ independent learning skills, a nationally recognised enrichment & extra-curricular programme, work based placements & volunteering opportunities and international experiences make this a great place to study.
Newall Green High School Sixth Form
NGHS Sixth Form offers pathways into employment, apprenticeships and further training in Construction, Health and Social Care, Early Years, Business Administration and ICT, Sports Studies and Personal Training. Courses are enhanced through close link s with local employers who provide mentoring and work experience opportunities. Alongside their main course students will complete courses in Skills For Employment and will have the opportunity to gain qualifications in English and Maths if a grade C or above has not be achieved previously. The Manchester College Northenden Campus
TMC Northenden Campus is a large, welcoming campus, offering a wide range of courses for school leavers, apprentices, adults and university-level students. £2 million has been invested in the campus to make it a great place to study vocational and academic courses. They have created a wildlife haven within the grounds and wildlife corridors connecting the site to the beautiful Wythenshawe Park nearby. Some of the facilities at Northenden are open to the public, including beauty salons. Facilities at the ampus include a large library resource centre (LRC), SkillZone with extensive IT tools, art and design workshops, fitness suite, football pitch, games area, canteen and coffee bar, purpose built kitchen for catering courses, woodwork, ceramics and jewellery workshops, photography studios, salons (open to the public), wildlife corridors to Wythenshawe Park, wildflower meadows and habitats for wildlife.
The Manchester College Wythenshawe Campus
The Wythenshawe campus opened in 2010 and offers a wide range of courses for school leavers and adults, including construction, motor vehicle maintenance, cabin crew and catering. The campus is built to be environmentally friendly and has innovative technology to save energy and re-use resources. These include solar panels, wind catchers for natural ventilation and rainwater harvesting tanks. Facilities at Wythenshawe Campus include a three-storey sixth form teaching block, air cabin, workshops, science labs, canteen, fitness suite, sustainability centre and a gourmet training restaurant, which is open to the public.
